Following the real life stories of strong protagonists the film gives an insight into the institution of temporary marriage, also called lust-marriage, a Shia practice that allows a man and a woman to legally marry for a fixed period of time, ranging from one hour to 99 years. The protagonists live their lives with resourcefulness and a great sense of humor. The film portrays them in a direct, honest and emotionally intimate way. Overshadowed by the ubiquitous visual presence of religion, the film tells personal stories about love, lust, money, about the yearning for happiness and the struggle for survival.
