Opis filmu

The documentary shows that even in the 21st century there still exist undiscovered worlds. It maps out the last living minority tribes living in the wild in the most remote parts of our planet. The world is developing and disappearing quicker than before. One year in those places is akin to what fifty years used to be. We are losing some areas and nations. The documentary captures a journey by the famous fisherman Jakub Vágner and his crew in search of the primeval forest tribes Huaorani and Taromenane. We visit a region in the Amazon rainforest and the Huaorani – a native tribe living in the Amazon part of eastern Ecuador between the rivers Napo and Curaray. Their numbers are estimated to be around 4 000, they speak the Huaorani language which is quite unique and has nothing in common with any other Amazonian Indian language nor dialect. Even though we want to remain optimistic one needs to face the truth. Over the last twenty years, our planet has not only lost hundreds of species but also most of the minority tribes and untamed cultures. In this way, we are all losing an irreplaceable cultural heritage. The legacy of our ancestors, ancient nations, is often lost forever without a second glance. We lose nations who were here a long time before the arrival of Christians or Moslems and as a result also their knowledge and expertise which modern medicine has been using since the days of Christopher Columbus. What we can still see and experience today will in twenty years be only seen in photographs.
